Turrets and Tiaras

This term our topic is Turrets and Tiaras. After learning all about castles and visiting Hever castle we have been looking at stories with castles in. We have been receiving letters from fairy tale characters asking for our help. We found items hidden in our classes that belong in fairy tales; a gingerbread man, a pumpkin, a red cape, some magic beans, a mirror and some materials (straw, sticks and bricks). We have been retelling fairy tales and innovating them so that the beginning or the ending gets changed. Our recent letter asked us to

look after something special. After some searching we all found a small egg hidden in our classrooms. A video from Merlin told us that we needed to take great care of it and if we heard noises coming from it that we had to go and seek help! We are all waiting to see what will happen next. We have contacted a professor at the Natural History museum for some advice..
