To celebrate the end of term we had a garden party on the school field where we got to share our work, sang 'The Ugly Bug Ball' and even danced the circassian circle! What a wonderful afternoon, thanks to all who came and well done children!

To celebrate the end of our Spring term the children participated in our annual Easter bonnet parade, Easter egg hunts and hot cross bun tasting!
To end our successful 'Reception to the rescue!' topic, the children brought in recyclable products to create their own eco-friendly superheroes! Pizza boy (who recycles all the pizza boxes), Easter Girl (who collects all the leftover Easter egg wrappers) and Narwhal...
Today the children came into school dressed as superheroes with some fantastically creative costumes! Unfortunately the evil Supervillain Dr Brainbow was also in town! Luckily our fabulous superheroes were able to battle him throughout the day...but did they succeed...
This week a crew from Horsham Fire station came to visit us. We learnt about the different jobs they do and the gear that they might need to do it safely. We even got to ride in the fire truck with blue lights and siren blazing!
On Tuesday, Year 1 and 2 went on a fantastic trip to Tilgate Park. We visited the Nature Centre where we met a variety of animals close up! During the trip we also went into the woods for den building and creating art work.
Message in a Bottle
This week the children discovered a message in a bottle outside each classroom! Inside each bottle was a message from an unhappy pirate named Captain Britton ‘Lionheart’ Crawford. He has asked us to complete some challenges to help him recover his stolen treasures!
