Children starting school in September 2020
Welcome to Littlehaven Infant School! We are really sorry that you are not able to visit us at the moment, but we can’t wait to meet you and look forward to welcoming you to our school in September. We hope that the information provided here will help you get to know us a bit more. At Littlehaven we have two reception classes, and here are the current Early Years team members.
(Please bear in mind that there may be some changes to some staff for September.)
Mrs S Geoghegan
Kingfisher class teacher and Early Years co-ordinator

Mr P. Shrubb
Peacock class teacher
Mrs L Harding
PPA teacher and teaching assistant
Mrs H King
Teaching assistant and midday meals supervisor
Miss K White
Intervention teacher and teaching assistant
Before your child starts school in September we usually invite them for two visits during the summer term to help the transition to big school. However, following government guidelines surrounding Covid-19, the school is currently closed until the restrictions are lifted, so we are unable to carry out these visits at present. We will be providing you with information about how we will support your child in joining us at Littlehaven as soon as possible. Further information can be found below.

Miss Day has recorded a story video for you to share with your child before starting school. We hope you find this a helpful way to familiarise your child with one of their possible teachers, and enjoy the story too click here to watch
Useful documents
Below is a link to our starting school booklet, which we give to each child at their first visit. It has pictures of the school, information about their daily routines and about our classes too. Please download the booklet and share it with your child to help them become more familiar with their new school, until they can come and visit in person. We have also put together a list of skills that will help to support your child’s transition into big school. These skills will help them to begin to have more independence and also give examples of some things they can expect to do during the school day.
