Friends of Littlehaven

The FOL organises a number of events during the school year, to raise funds for items that the school would not otherwise be able to purchase. These events range from Christmas and Summer fairs, to after school discos and film shows for the children, and tea afternoons where parents can come along and have a chat over a cup of tea and a cake.

The FOL is always looking for new ideas for fundraising events. In recent years, the funds raised have been used to purchase a portable stage and a PA system. The FOL also provided, and pays for the upkeep of the school pond and a nature trail garden known as “Behind the Wavy Wall.”

Parents can help in a number of ways, either by serving on the committee, which involves attending meetings and making decisions and organising events; helping at the events by manning stalls at the fairs, assisting in the setting-up and clearing up at these events; by giving donations to these events and last, but by no means least, attending the events and spending money. The FOL is a good way of meeting other parents and making friends.

Littlehaven's Governing Body

The Governors at Littlehaven Infant School provide support, help and advice to the Headteacher, Sylvia White, to ensure that the school continues to be a safe, happy and successful environment for your children.

Our aim as Governors is to help the school provide an enriched curriculum for every child. We are constantly looking for best practice in order to raise standards and achievements.

Most of our Governors are parents as well, and we understand the importance of communication from school. Likewise, we value your thoughts or ideas and would welcome any suggestions you might have.
